Cardinal John Henry Newman 1801- 1890

Our school is named after John Henry Newman who lived during the nineteenth century. He was an extraordinary man who spent his life searching for integrity and truth. He held strong views about education and worked to understand how people grow in knowledge and spirituality. His mission centred around the values of tolerance and inclusion and he touched the lives of many people. When he died, the streets of Birmingham were lined with the thousands of people that he had helped and inspired.
